どこから話し始めればいいかな〜

Where do I start!?

今年はHorizon英会話教室にとって初の本格的なイベントとなりました。

This is the first year and the first real event for Horizon! 

毎日パーティーシェードを組み立てるのは簡単なことではありませんでしたが、この大変な時期に子どもたちが夏を楽しんでいる姿を見ることができたのは、100％のイベントをやった価値がありました。

Building the party shade day in and day out wasn’t easy, but it was 100% worth it seeing all the kids having fun and enjoying summer during this difficult time. 

すべての子どもたちが、コロナウイルスの前のことを思い出して楽しんでくれればいいなと思っています。

I hope that all the kids were able to have fun and remember what it was like before Coronavirus. 

私たちの子どもたちは今、本当ならもっと楽しい生活を送れるはずなのです。

Our kids deserve a better life right now. 

もう少し詳しくイベントについて言うと、ヨーヨークレーンゲーム、屋台料理の射撃、チョーク落書きをしました!

Going into a little more detail, we had the Yoyo crane game, the festival food shootout, and chalk graffiti!

嬉しいことに、100個のヨーヨーが全て子ども達に捕えられ、屋台料理は輪ゴム銃で何回も撃たれてヘトヘトになっていました！（笑）。

I’m proud to say that all 100 Yoyos were caught and the festival food was tired of being shot at by the rubber band gun!

ここで屋台料理の英語を勉強したい人のために、屋台料理をご紹介します!

Here are the festival foods for those who want to study them!

Chocolate Banana　チョコバナナ

Shaved Ice　かき氷

Cotton Candy　綿菓子

Takoyaki (Octopus Dumplings)　たこやき 

Fireworks (do not eat)　花火（これは食べないで）

スクールの前も子どもたちが頑張って落書きをしてくれました!

The kids did a great job decorating the front of the school too!

残念ながら、最終日、私が片付けを終えた後に雷と豪雨で子どもたちが頑張って描いてくれた落書きがすべて消されてしまいました。残念ですが、また来年落書きをしましょう！

Sadly, on the last day of the festival after I finished cleaning up, a very strong storm passed through and erased all the beautiful graffiti! Oh well! Next time kids!

さて、今回のイベントは想像以上に大成功でした。

Well, this event was way more successful than I could have ever imagined!

これも遊びに来てくれた親子皆さんのおかげです。

It’s all thanks to the parents and kids who came to play!
